In an elaborate initiation dream, inner magical forms are revealed as “the secret second.”
The visions flowed and transformed, animating all the objects and revealing their inner magical forms. I was consciously unfolding universal patterns and with each unfolding released new energies. These revelations were only visible side effects of cosmic energy released. As each explicit object opened up its implicit form and purpose, the others shimmered, loosened from their so-called permanent form.
Collected in the best cabinets were objects that were easily capable of this shift. Each of them held amazing power to transform not only themselves but the world around them. Like radioactive isotopes or a nuclear arsenal.
I asked, “How is this human? What can it possibly have to do with human life?”
This is what I was told: A form of active perception, an aspect of inner development, can bring into the world new life, new forms that bring about healing, change, expansion of social forms and mores.
When conditions are not as favorable, the forms are frozen as solid objects, held in cabinets as things without life or energy. There, they are enclosed in their physical shells. Like seeds frozen in dark permafrost, they are held for centuries, like precious stones that wait forever to release one flash of reflective light energy.
The mage knows and sees the inner potential of these forms, no matter how enclosed or hidden they may be. Forms that are radically different from each other may yet carry the same inner potential. The mage knows that all things tend toward this great good.
The release of the hidden power is a work of the mage – or it may seem so. Actually the mage does nothing – there is no activation or mumbo-jumbo required. That happens in earlier stages of the magician’s development.
In the higher levels, the objects themselves recognize the mage, are attracted and therefore open spontaneously. The only work the mage is required to perform is to manage that flow of power – direct it towards its purposeful outcome. The training consists of that learning, not to opening of objects themselves.
Pointing a wand and reciting words and such are all theater. The pointing is of the mind’s focus, the words indicate dedicated work in sacred language.
In a ritual circle when the conjuring occurs, there is no real work being done. It is all theater, for initiates. Revealing in demonstration and metaphor what happens all the time, day and night, in the life of the mage – who is also a sage.
Does this differ from a wise woman or a druid? It can, for the heart of a wise woman is an active sense organ of the intuition, while a mage can develop (in early power stages) without the action of the heart. But to reach the greater levels, the heart of its own accord, functions as it must. It, too, reveals its secret second. When this happens, the truth is revealed – not only in power but in love. The objects become objects of love, and their transformation becomes an expression of love and the energy they release is the pure power of love itself.
The cabinet then, can be said to hold the wonders of love, and is itself made of love. For love is the container of the object of love, and is the only power that reveals itself inexhaustibly.
The renewal of the earth and the world is done through this divine spring that flows forever through all objects and behind and within all their seconds. It is a flow beyond times’ current and it contains that as well.
Some say it is the Druid way that assembles in love these forces of nature. But it is for all. The assembly of all sages, mages, wise ones, shamans, druids, servants, saints and masters unites their illuminated souls through all time. Together, they form one embodiment and guide us to the realization of truth.
